🛠️ How to Record Your Screen in Whale
Step 1: Start from the Get Started tab or Create anywhere option
Or from within a playbook
Step 2: Select What to Record
Choose just your screen or screen + video
Choose a browser tab, a window or your entire screen
Toggle audio on or off for your recordings
Step 3: Record Your Process
Walk through your process step-by-step.
Step 4: Finish & Save
Click Stop Sharing when done
Your video opens in the tab you started from, give it a title, select a playbook and click next. Your video gets transformed into a guide and lands in your playbook in no time!
Step 5: Edit your recording (optional)
If you would like to trim your recording you can edit the video before creating a guide from it.
Navigate to the edit recording button in the loaded slider in Whale
To cut a part of the video, drag and drop your cursor over the selected area and click on the trim icon
Apply the changes
Not satisfied? On the top right corner you can undo your changes
Save the video and start the conversion
🖌️ Edit your guide images
To blur a part of your image or add an arrow or text, you can easily edit the guide, navigate to the image you want to edit and click on it. (*moving the red dot is coming, no ETA yet)
You'll see the Advanced Setting appear and you're ready to edit the image.
