Just like with AI Assist for SOPs, AI Quiz lets you auto-generate a complete quiz from your existing playbooks or library content — in seconds.
✨ How to Create a Quiz with AI
Step 1: Open AI Quiz
Click the ➕ icon in the top-right corner of your Whale screen
Select AI Quiz from the dropdown
Step 2: Configure the Quiz
In the AI Quiz pop-up:
📚 Choose the source content (playbook or library page)
🏷️ Give your quiz a title (e.g., CRM Basics Quiz)
🔢 Select the number of questions (up to 20)
✅ Choose how many answers per question (e.g., 3 or 4 options)
Step 3: Generate and Review
Click Generate and let Whale work its magic
Review the AI-generated quiz
You can start using it right away — or edit any part to fine-tune the questions

🤖 Generate a Quiz via Alice
Prefer to work conversationally? You can now also generate a quiz through Alice, Whale’s AI assistant, as an alternative to the in-app AI Quiz generator above.
Ask Alice something like “Create a quiz on our Customer Refund Policy” or “Generate a 10-question quiz from the Sales Onboarding playbook.”
Alice will generate the quiz and let you preview it directly in the chat before anything is saved.
Once you’re happy with it, you can save it directly to Training → Quizzes, where it behaves just like any other quiz — ready to configure, assign, and track in Analytics.
This gives you two equally supported paths to an AI-generated quiz: the dedicated AI Quiz flow, or a quick request to Alice.
🛠️ Manual Quiz Creation (If You Prefer Custom-Built)
If you’d rather build a quiz from scratch:
Step 1: Go to the Quiz Tab
Click the Quiz icon in the sidebar
Choose Create Quiz
Name the Quiz
Step 2: Add Questions
Enter your question text
Add an image for further reference
Add multiple-choice answer options
Mark the correct answer
Save, and click Add Question to repeat (up to 20 questions)
⚙️ Quiz Settings
Each quiz can be customized with powerful learning features:
✅ Show correct answers after submission or each question for faster feedback
🔀 Shuffle questions and answers to prevent memorization
🎯 Set a passing grade (e.g., 70%) — users must meet this to pass
✍️ Edit anytime — tweak content or scoring as needed
📤 Assigning Quizzes
You can assign quizzes in two ways:
From the Quizzes menu via the 3-dot options menu
As part of a training workflow (great for onboarding or continuous learning)
When assigning, you can:
Select individuals or user groups
Set a due date
Add optional notes
Learners will see quiz progress and results in their Insights tab.
📊 Track Progress with Analytics
In the Analytics section under Quizzes, you can:
View completion rates and timestamps
Identify who passed or failed
Reassign quizzes to users who need a retry
