Delete my Whale workspace

Updated over a week ago

While we hope Whale is the right fit for your organization, we understand that sometimes priorities change. If you decide not to continue using Whale, rest assured โ€” your workspace and data will be handled securely and respectfully.

User Actions Required Before Cancellation

To avoid losing access to your important materials, follow these steps before canceling your Whale subscription:

  1. Export Your Content: Save your imported and created content to external formats, such as PDF or Word, to ensure you can access it outside the Whale platform.

  2. Review Your Data: Confirm that you have exported all necessary data and content before initiating the cancellation process.

By taking these steps, you can ensure a smooth transition and retain access to your important information.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ What Happens If You Cancel or Stop Using Whale?

If your workspace becomes inactive (i.e., no one logs in - applies to canceled workspaces and our Forever Free workspaces) or if you cancel your subscription:

  • โณ After 90 days of inactivity or post-cancellation, your entire workspace โ€” including all content and data โ€” will be automatically deleted

  • ๐Ÿ” This is a permanent action, and your data cannot be recovered after deletion

While you retain ownership of all content you have imported or created within Whale, your workspace will be closed once you cancel your paid subscription. To ensure continued access to your materials, you should export your content to external formats before canceling your subscription.

โŒ Do I Need to Request Deletion?

Before canceling your subscription, specific actions are required to ensure you retain access to your important materials.

The deletion process is fully automated, but you should export your content and review your data before initiating the cancellation process.

๐Ÿ”’ Your Privacy, Protected

We take data privacy seriously. This automated process ensures that unused accounts donโ€™t retain data unnecessarily โ€” keeping your information safe and secure even after youโ€™ve moved on.

If you ever decide to return, you can always create a new workspace and start fresh. Weโ€™ll be here when youโ€™re ready.
