Using Whale's MCP tools to list and get quizzes

Connect AI assistants like Claude to your Whale quiz data over MCP

If you've connected Whale to an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT through the Whale API / MCP, you can now also give that assistant access to your quizzes.

Heads up: MCP access is temporarily available on all paid plans — Scale, Advance, and Enterprise — through September 2026, so you don't need to be on Enterprise to use this today. (Full API access remains an Enterprise-only feature.) Reach out to your Customer Success contact if you're not sure whether your license includes it.

🧩 What the Quiz Tools Do

Whale's MCP server includes tools that let a connected AI assistant:

  • List quizzes in your workspace

  • Get a quiz and see its metadata — things like the number of participants, a link to the quiz, and its description

⚠️ Note: these tools return quiz metadata only — they do not return the quiz questions or answers themselves.

💡 Example Use Case

Ask your connected assistant something like "Which of our quizzes have the most participants?" or "Give me the link to our Onboarding Quiz" — the assistant can pull that directly from Whale via MCP, without you needing to log in and search for it yourself.
