Why?

Boards are the highest level within Whale for structuring and centralizing your processes and procedures. Boards can be structured, for example, in departments or more generic topics like "Company Culture."

Be aware that in our Forever Free plan you can only create one board!

 How?

How to create a new Board:

  1. Navigate to the Board section of the workspace
  2. Click on Create board at the top right corner of your screen
  3. A popup as follows will be shown

  4. Name your Board and change the colour of the board to one of our preset colours or add you own colour in the Hex code picker.
  5. Manage user and group permissions.
  6. Define who has access by clicking on "Permissions."

  • Reader(s) = ability to access the Board, but not able to make changes
  • Writer(s) = ability to access and edit board content
  • No access = only admins can access the Board

You can find more detailed description of our permission system here: User Permissions

Rearranging & moving the order of Boards

Changing the overview of the Boards can be easily done by drag and drop.
Remember that changing the overview of the Boards will impact the view for all your workspace members.

Hold the top-right icon of a board to change its position.
